Cincinnati Bengals Tickets- Bengals Tally First Win of Season

The Cincinnati Bengals left the Detroit Lions as the last winless team in the NFL during week nine when they tallied a narrow 21-19 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bengals had previously struggled this season, starting out week one with a 17-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. That was followed by a 24-7 loss to the Tennessee Titans, a 26-23 loss to the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants, a 20-12 loss to the neighboring Cleveland Browns, a 31-22 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, a 26-14 loss to the New York Jets, a 38-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and a 35-6 loss to the Houston Texans. The win gives Bengals fans a glimmer of hope and a record of 1-8. If you want to see them live, you can get Cincinnati Bengals tickets at http://www.stubhub.com/cincinnati-bengals-tickets/.

The Bengals had 312 yards of offense during the match against the Jaguars, compared to Jacksonville's 282. Cincinnati quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was 21of 31 for 162 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and a passer rating of 88.4. While it may not be a record-setting rating, it is a drastic improvement from his rating of 48.3 last week against the Texans. They also saw dividends paying from the addition of former Chicago Bear running back Cedric Benson. Benson was released from the Bears after a few incidents involving alcohol and the police before coming to Cincinnati. Against the Jaguars, Benson had 104 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries. Fitzpatrick himself also had three carries for 52 yards. The Jaguars' quarterback David Garrard was 23 of 38 for 229 yards, no touchdowns, one interception and a passer rating of 66.7.

It was the Bengals who drew the first blood during the game when Fitzpatrick connected with Chad Johnson on a two yard pass in the first quarter. Johnson and Fitzpatrick would connect again in the second quarter for a 10-yard touchdown pass to make the score 14-0. The Jaguars finally got on the board with a 52 yard field goal by Josh Scobee to finish out the first half. The third quarter would see only one score, a seven-yard touchdown run by Cedric Benson. Now up 21-3, the Bengals seemed to have the win in the bag, but the Jaguars weren't giving up so easily. Scobee knocked through a 26 yard field goal to start the scoring in the third quarter. Later, Montell Owens scooped up a fumble and returned it 18 yards for a Jaguar touchdown. With just over a minute remaining, the Jaguars' Maurice Jones-Drew had a one-yard touchdown run. If the Jaguars could complete a two-point conversion after the score, they could tie the game. Fortunately for the Bengals, they were unsuccessful, and the game finished with the Bengals up 21-19.

The Jaguars are 3-5 after the loss, also losing to the Tennessee Titans during week one, the Buffalo Bills during week two, the Pittsburgh Steelers during week five and the Cleveland Browns during week eight. Surprisingly, the Jaguars haven't tallied wins against weak teams and knocked off the Indianapolis Colts during week three, the Houston Texans during week four and the Denver Broncos during week six.
