If I sprayed bed liner on my car instead of painting it, what would be the pros and cons?

i want to paint my bronco II Olive Drab green and a user on here told me to forget paint and get the entire thing sprayed with a spray on bedliner from Rhino-Liner, Speedliner, Line-X or whatever.
Pro's?
Con's?

Pros:
Looks badass
Will keep looking badass
Can prevent small dents
Probably better rust protection than paint

Cons:
Will be a bitch to remove or to paint over later.
May reduce saleability later on.

Bedliner for the interior is more popular.
