Based in San Diego, California -- the Chargers are a professional football team that was established back in 1960 when they were part of the American league Western division; this venture lasted about nine years (1969). From 1970 until today we have played under the American football conference West division. The Chargers home fields are and have been a loose Angeles Memorial Stadium, the Balboa Stadium and the QUALCOMM Stadium. The team owner is Alex Spanos, the general manager is A.J. Smith and the head coach is more Norv Turner.

According to the head coach Turner, Rivers is doing a little bit more every other practice and it is Turner's goal to have him ready for the opening game.

The 2008 season is expected to be a great one for the San Diego Chargers as the team keeps improving and learning from their past experiences while key players recover from their injuries and become whole to once again deliver maximum efficiency as they did in the past.
